Question for those whose LO's use a quilt & not a sleeping bag

Lily has just started using a quilt after getting fed up of sleeping bags.

My question is- does your LO stay under the quilt, head on the pillow all night, or do they move about outside the quilt and get comfy wherever? If they do move about, do you rearrange them so they are underneath the quilt, or let them get on with it.

I have been putting her back under the quilt in case she gets cold, but I wonder if I should just leave her to it and she will learn to get under the quilt if she's cold?

Thanks!

Tom moves about less now than with a sleeping bag but I still find him curled up on the pillow with the duvet quite a bit. I usually cover him back up and if he's in a really bad position move him back down the bed. But he is getting better at covering himself back up as well now.

We always go in when we go to bed and cover him back up/ move him back onto the pillow, i found it took a while for him to pull it back over him if he's cold, but it's gradual. He's a fidget anyway so he's rarely covered up and sleeps with his bum in the air!!

paige moves about and always ends up under her pillow. I leave her to it, until i go to bed when i rearange her nicely on the pillow and under the quilt. She has learnt now if shes out if the quilt and cold to pull it up herself. so i dont feel the need to keep checking in case shes cold!

My LO doesn't stay under the duvet, she moves too much, she sleeps on her front on top of the pillow hugging it.

We can't go in and cover her up as she's a very light sleeper and would wake up so we make sure her room is always at 20 - 21 degrees.

The same as PPs, we tend to rearrange Tom when we go to bed ourselves. He never seems to be too fussed that the covers have come off, a lot of the time he kicks them off himself anyway!

We do the same as BethK - we make sure the room is a comfortable temperature, and leave her to it. When the weather was really cold, we would put her in fleece PJs/sleepsuits and that kept her cozy. These days she has learned how to pull the duvet up if she needs it

She only really stays head on pillow, under quilt if she is really tired, if she's abit more restless she will sometimes move to the bottom of the cot. I leave her to it as opening her creaky door would wake her up and she's usually in our bed by the time it gets colder anyway xx

Hopefully Sophie's first quilt, cover and pillow will be delivered tomorrow so we will see how she gets on! It's getting her to stay in her bed that's the problem with us, and I'm not holding out much hope for her staying under the quilt

both mine make a point of sleeping with no blanket. I have it on and eventually they have the legs out on top of it, that's how they fall asleep. Even if its cold I have them nice and snug and wake up a few times to recover them and they dont seem bothered with cold at all. I think they would freak in sleeping bags.
