So angry with nursery!!

I am so angry with the twins nursery!! Argh!! Monday is going to be one of those days lol.

The girls had their MMR yesterday and today I get to nursery and they say they are not allowed in..

Why were they allowed in when they had their 12 month injections and their swine flu vaccine then?? Its terrible.. The girls are ok, no temperatures, slept all night, eating and drinking and no runny nappies!!!

Chloe had hand foot and mouth 2 weeks ago and they let Jaycee go in even though Chloe was at home highly contagious! Its not even something that you have to have to spread it.

On Monday I am going in there and I want back the money for Friday!! It costs me nearly 400 a week to send them to nursery! Bloody place!!

I'd certainly be asking to have a look at their policies and procedures, sounds very strange to me

Did you not need to sign forms before they started? Sounds very odd to me :\

Yeah but we didnt need to keep anything. Just a signed agreement that if they had a temperature they would be able to treat it with calpol.. But nothing about injections and stuff.

My mum is just as angry that I had to get them all dressed and take them to nursery when there was no need. I then had to drive all the way to drop them to my mum to go all the way back to work. Plus I am not well either so I am livid!

Hiya I worked in a nursery for years and I've never heard of the MMR being a reason for not letting children it. Fair enough if they actually had any symptoms, ie high temperature but if they are symptom free then there is no reason why they shouldn't be allowed in!

Def ask to see policies as they should have specific vaccines ones and get that money back!

But even if they had a policy in place we knew nothing about it so surely there should be leaflets or even a letter sent out to parents with that age of child! Something that made me know that and then I wouldnt have bothered and would have booked it for a friday! They think I have a money tree in the garden that chucks £50 notes out whenever I whistle. Bloody place!!

you're right that their 'policy' needs to be made more readily known. If its THEIR choice that children don't come in after the MMR (which is totally unnecessary) then you shouldn't have to pay.

If you kick up a stink, hopefully you shouldn't have to pay. I see you live in Surrey, I love next door in Hants and nurseries are extortionate around here aren't they! Especially as you've got 2 children to pay for!

Where I used to work they gave in many times about parents not paying in similar circumstances so it can be done!

My nursery bill a week is £371!! lol. Its a frigging rip off!!

I called the nursery and spoke to the manager, I explained that I came in this morning with the twins and I was told they werent allowed in because of they had their MMR done and she said yeah we dont take any babies after any injection, I then explained that in January Chloe and Jaycee had booster injections and their Swine Flu vaccination and they were in nursery the next day and I also explained to the staff that they had had their injections and they would be grumpy. She put me on hold and spoke to her collegue who agreed that they werent allowed in!!
I went on to explain I had to get all the way to my mum to drop them off and all the way back to work again and her response was are they available this afternoon. I said I pay for mornings not afternoon so I am really ringing for you to give me an amount to take off the cheque, She said she would give me a ring back either today or go in and see her on Monday! Well no call so I shall be in that office first thing monday morning!!

There is no way I am paying for today and I think it should be asked why they have a stupid policy like that in the first place!!!

I will update you all when I know more. Whatever way it works they need my custom more than I need their care. I can easily find another nursery that wants my cash!!
