aW so glad Daisy is feeling better Andrea.....

To those whose babies have been poorly.....how long did it last??

Maley hasnt been sick today but she wont eat anything or drink anything! All day, she has had about 2 oz of milk....no water/juice.......she has had three bites of a croissant, half of my cup-a-soup and a quarter of my ham sandwich! She usually doesnt stop eating.

Her temp is fine and in herself, she is fine....playing away and laughing and chatting. She done one poo and it was yellow and watery.

I havent taken her docs yet purely because she seems fine in herself and her temp is ok but i am concerned about her not drinking especially as she has runny poo....

Daisys lasted about 5 days , I spoke to our doctor and he said that as long as she was drinking something, it would be fine.
But if she started to have sickness aswell then to phone back but luckily it was just diarrhea.
I left cups of juice and water lying all over the house so she was taking little sips everytime she walked by one!

Oh and he said to give calpol and not baby nurofen because it is gentler on their tummy.
Then its just a case of riding it out

We live in Bulgaria, so maybe someone has brought the bug over!

Saturday, Gabbi had 2 very bad nappies in the space of half and hour, the first one we didn't realise to be honest as she was still playing, then the smell hit!! As we took of the nappy, oh my lord, never seen anything like it! Changed her and all was well, but all clothes were changed!
Then 1/2 hour later she was walking funny, picked her up and again everything was wet, but she had tights on and where they had been rubbing, oh she had bright red sores, one was already weeping! Oh, she did cry I hated it. After that, all was well.

We had easter yesterday (the day after), she was fine all day, ate a little but been not eating as much for about a week, but also has teeth coming through. She was a little whiney, but ok.

Got home, gave her milk, 1/2 hour later, she coughed, burped and threw up everywhere!
Gave a few sips of water and cleaned her teeth (we all no how horrible a sicky mouth is!). She was fine, even started laughing, but then 15 jmins later she was sick again. This scared her! Lay her on the settee slightly elevated. Saw the signs again, got bucket to her (after changing her twice already), but hardly anything was coming up, heaving like mad, oh I will not forget her face!!!!!

This went on about 4 more times, eventually, she fell asleep at 10pm ish. We put her in our bed, didn't qwant to be in a different room.

She woke at 5.30am wanting a drink, then back to sleep. She woke at 7am

She drank a full cup of water, but I made her do that slowly!

She showed no signs of hunger. Then, at 8.30am another bad nappy!!!!!!

Nothing since.

She has had one bit of toast. She fell asleep at 11am and woke up at 1.20pm, I let her! Made some pasta, but she's only had a few. It's there if she wants it. She now sat on my knee watching In the Night Garden saying Maka Paka, bless her. I really hope we are over the worst of it.

How long does this bug last??
