I'm not sure about it in older toddlers, but at my sons check as a baby, hebwas said to have a paediatric heart murmour and was reffered for an ECG which I never ended up going to as he went to the out of hours clinic a few weeks later after havig a funny turn an they checked him then again and the murmour had gone!
I shouldn't worry too much, it could turn out to be nothing at all! I've had a nextdoor neighbour whose child had a hole in his heart and he's perfectly happy and healthy!
Best wishes xx

hi thanks for your replies and ressurances. I went to the doctors for Rocco's full check up and they listened to his heart and said he got a heart murmur and needs to go hospital and have his heart scanned just to be on safe side, he wasnt ill or anything, just a check up. xx

Hi hun,
both my children have heart murmurs (sophie-louise is 7 and Dylan is nearly 4) Dylan was sent to the hospital for a heart scan and everything was great the doctors said it was nothing to worry about as it was just an innocent heart murmur , sophie-lou hasn't been checked yet as it's not be long since the doctors found hers. xx

Hope everything goes well at the hospital hun xxxx i'm sure it will

Hi

My daughter was diagnosed with a heart murmur at 6 weeks, unfortunately for us it turned out to be 2 holes in her heart, but still it was easily repaired and she is doing great now, its bit of a scare still at times, but sometimes they are small enough they dont operate.

Eleanor has to go for echocardiograms to keep an eye on it, I would imagine thats the scan that your son will be having.

What they can do is truely wonderful. I wish you luck x
