Do bananas cause constipation?

Lucy absolutely loves bananas and has one most days but a friend has said i'll make her ill letting her have so many because they cause constipation.

Is this true?

Thanks girls. She currently has 4 or 5 a week!! Not caused her any pooping problems so far so should I carry on letting her have so many or cut them right down? xx

I reckon that many a wk is just fine...especially if she seems fine on it. you could also give her a handful of blueberries at the same time. They go right through Ally (nice!) so it'd balance each other out. Ally used to half a small one 5 or 6 mornings out of 7 and was always fine, it's just something to be aware of I suppose

It can but it sounds like she's been having them for a while now and if it's not bothered her yet I don't see a problem

Seren has normally 1 a day or every other day and it's not caused her any real problems yet. I just don't let her have more than 1 a day really. Just incase!
