Too busy to eat??

Thought this would be better here..

AJ is just too busy to eat..its just not exciting enough.
Its been going on a while now. He'd rather play than eat, he's hungry though.
Weve ended up turning meal times into song time not the best idea.

Anyone else having any similar problems with their toddler?

Yes we have a similar problem - more or less the same but we won't eat anything 'boring', so no fruit, no veg, she'll eat ANY meat, she'll eat cheese... yogurt... thats about it

AJ prefers meat in the style of chicken/fish fingers/nuggets!
He loves grapes.

I just cant make it interesting enough?? I'm running out of ideas.
He only had peas for lunch and a yogurt. He had the yogurt in the kitchen on my hip whilst singing!!

I think its about perseverance, its normal at that age for them to go off their food. Fish fingers are always a hit in our house. AS far as veg goes, she'll eat sweetcorn, peas and potatoes and thats all

We have. We'll raid the fridge, see whats in there, have a try. Played with, talked about and felt veg. Helping make foods.

I do this at work with the people I support so its second nature to me.
Its a really good idea for little ones though.

Its totally normal. Jasmine doesnt eat as much anymore now either. But they wont starve themselves, they WILL eat. I just give Jasmine small bits and snacks throughout the day. She isnt the best with meat either, if swe have mashed potatoes and chicken I can chop it up into tiny bit and mix it in with the potatoes, she will eat it that way... She will eat shepards pie too, and spaghetti and chicken nuggets and fish sticks etc.
