Hi all,

My 14 year old step daughter just came downstairs and said that Grace (my 4 year old daughter) just got up out of bed from being asleep, walked to the top of the stairs and just stood there and wee'd. This has never happened before, she can be dry at night but sometimes she wets like any other 4 year old but this is so different. I tried to talk to her and she started crying so I picked her up and she had already took her wet stuff off so gave her a quick wipe down and put new underwear and pj's on. I was hugging her after doing this and she was looking at me but not at me if you know what I mean, she wasnt focussing on anything! She wasnt answering me it was so weird!

I came down and told hubby after I put her back to bed and he was equally freaked out, then step daughter came down and said she was the same with her when she got out of her bed! How strange!

I was a sleepwalker at about this age but it has really freaked me! Any other mums with sleep walkers out there???

Think I will ring the docs tomorrow just for a bit of advice as I dont want to scare her. Shes a very happy child and nothing is worrying her so that cant be the cause.

Oh my god, i would have been so freaked out!!!! My LO talks in his sleep and this freaks me out, never mind if he started sleep walking!!!!!lol

Just be careful, don't wake her up when she's sleep walking.
THe best thing to do is just to either put her on the toilet if she needs to pee (or get a potty in her room and put her on that) or gently direct her back to bed.

no experience here, but if you dont already maybe get a stair gate just incase
