| when you say at night, do you mean during the night? A 1 yr old shouldn't need milk during the night unless there's a specific medical reason I don't think.
I'd say the 2 or maybe 3 milk drinks in the day is ok though but a total of 8 (or even 5) all at 8oz would worry me a little. Does she have room for solids after all that milk? I'd be worried that she wasn't getting all the nutrients she needs...things that aren't provided by formula. | | | | Status: Offline

| Hannah has 1-2 sippy cups of milk a day and has since she turned a year old. Is your LO getting enough solids during the day? At her age I don't think she should be needing milk so much throughout the night... | | | | Status: Offline

| Joseph has 2 beakers of milk in the day and then he will have a bottle at bedtime, he takes about 5oz at bedtime. He eats 3 meals a day though and has 2 snacks too, a little something mid-morning and then something when he wakes from his afternoon nap. Is your LO eating much solid food? x | | | | Status: Offline

| i dont think it would harm her, but i agree that at 1 year she shouldnt need the night feeds anymore, it may be a case of waking for night feeds being a habit now
they do sya that after 1 year old , they shouldnt really have much more than a total of 1 pint of milk a day as it will make them less hungry for solids, but al babies are different
id maybe mention it to your HV and see what she says | | | | Status: Offline

| My LO has always loved her milk and I cant see it doing her no harm as long as she's eating enough solid food throughout the day, she doesn't have as much as your LO though. She has about 3 bottles throughout the day (one on morning, one pre-nap and one before bed) and still has one through the night, she's 16 months. She did use to have loads more through the night at 12 months, but i've gradually got this down to one, trying to knock this one on the head too!
I'd try cutting down on it and giving more food through the day then you wont need to give loads of milk during the night. | | | | Status: Offline

| zane still wakes for bottles in the night its a right pain and hes almost 15 months.
id swap the bottles in the day for cows milk (full fat) or even water if just to save urself money, milk is so expensive.
he only "needs" 2 bottles of baby milk a day now and really it doesnt even have to be baby milk he will get all he needs from cows milk and a healthy diet | | | | Status: Offline

| If it's just a case of routine, you could try and give her water instead of milk at night if she'll take it? Maybe then she'll realise that it's not really worth waking up for water... It's something I did when trying to get LO to sleep through when she was a bit younger x | | | | Status: Offline
