| 2 year old & newborn - double buggy? Couldn't get to sleep last night & it got me thinking We're hoping to have another baby around the same time as Emma turns 2 if we're lucky enough If this happens - will I need a double buggy? I know Emma will be walking by then so I just wondered if it'd be more of a hiderance - trying to push a double buggy round & hold Emma's hand if she's wanting to walk...can't see that being much fun!
Just wondered what people with LOs of similar ages do?? | | | | Status: Online

| My daughter will be 2 when we have the new baby (due 10 days before her birthday!) and my plan right now is to use a sling for the baby until at least 4 months and as my daughter is already walking I'm hoping that she will be primarily walking then so I will just have a single and maybe a buggy board...
I've also thought about if we are going to the farmers market or fairs (all day type events where her legs will get tires) I will likely have another adult with me so we will just use two singles.. easier to maneuver anyways... | | | | Status: Offline

| That's exactly what I was thinking, about days out, and had the same thought about there being two of us.
Good luck with your new baby xxxxxxx | | | | Status: Online

| Aaron will be 2 years and 3 months when our next baby is born. At the moment he can almost walk to town and back, although we still take the buggy in case he gets tired, so I'm hoping that in a few more months he will manage without or on a buggy board. We're hoping to get the Petite Star Kurvi, which converts very easily from a pram to a pushchair (you literally just move the head end up and the feet end down) so if we go for a really long walk then Aaron will be able to go in the pushchair and the new baby can go in a sling. That's the plan anyway, no idea if it will really work like that! | | | | Status: Offline

| logan will only be 18months when lo is born and i havent bought a double pram , didnt see the point as he walks alot atm as it is so im expecting by then hel be walking more so i bought a single, plus either way he wouldnt be in a pram that long and i didnt want to waste 3-4 hundred on a double to have to buy a single again down the line, however at the same time i dont expect him to walk on full days out so will be buying a baby carrier also so he can have his pram if need be, il only need to do this if im by myself though as normally i have hubby with me on days out so will have a pram each if need be. the only places i really go when hubby isnt around is trips to the shops or to the nursery which logan will either walk tooor il use the baby carrier. xx | | | | Status: Online

| I would reccomend getting a double hun! wish I did and my son was 2 1/2 when DD was born, obv Jack is old enough to walk everywhere but there have been times where I wish ihad one!! I wish I got the phil and teds that can be used as a single when the older one is done with a buggy or wants to walk and its not bigger than a normal buggy. I have a buggy boardand HATE it it gets in the way so much and I cant push it with it on! I would say yes get a double IMO x | | | | Status: Offline

| My eldest is 27 months and I have a nearly 6 week old.. I really regret not getting a double.
I don't go out a lot, when we do me and my OH take a single each.. but I still really really wish we'd gotten a double and are now looking for one. | | | | Status: Offline

| rhys was 17months when ffion was born. we had a graco duo tour tandem pram and an icandy apple with a buggy board.
we used the buggy board in the morning when rhys wasnt tired and in the afternoon when rhys was sleepy we used the tandem.
now rhys is nearly 3 we use a single pram (luna) and rhys walks although we do have an obaby double stroller for really long shopping trips or afternoon outings. | | | | Status: Online
