Help, my daughter will not drink any milk

Hello ladies, hope your all well? Ive been lurking around for a while now but never had any problems to post untill now so i hope u dont mind me joining. My daughter is nearly 19months, a couple of weeks ago she was drinking her milk (in a bottle) fine she was having about 6oz in the morning and 9oz before bed, she then got a virus and was teething but since then she will not drink any milk. Ive tried different beakers, (chucked the bottles now). ive even through gritted teeth and desperation put a tiny bit of hot chocolate in her milk, she will have a couple of slurps and thats it. Today i brought some toddler milk she wont even drink that. Help i dont know what to try next or even is there anything else i can try. Have any of your little ones done this? How much milk are they drinking? Any advise will be greatly welcomed. x

I don't think it matters that drink milk specifically. Alasdair doesn't drink milk any more but I make sure he gets 3 or sometimes 4 portions of calcium rich food a day. He has his dinner at 5 then at 6.15 he has a couple of rich tea biscuits or half a piece of toast or a yogurt. He seems to sleep fine through the night. I've noticed since dropping the milk feeds he's started eating cheese, which he was never too keen on and although he's always liked brocolli he seems to want even more now.

im sure you have tried but would she prefer it warm ?
like hannah_224 said , as long as she is eating things like cheese and yogurt, and other calcium rich foods during the day it should be fine.
how about making your own milk shakes ? you can add yogurt and fresh fruit to the shake to make it super healthy ( strawberries / bannana etc.. )

Tommy hates milk and always has done, but he likes to drink it out of a glass tumbler or with a straw. How many teeth does she have? If she is teething late it may just be she is sore and sipping may suit her better. Maybe give up on baby bottles and cups. 19months is old enough to drink properly.

Hi, thanks for the relpys im not panicking so much now, i thought that drinking milk was still a must at her age, she always had her milk warm. I have thrown away the bottles now! If i give her some in a cup she tips it all out and wont let me hold it, i have tried our mugs with a straw which she will let me hold. She has just had her molors through so pehaps her gums are still sore. I havent tried fresh milkshakes so will try that later. She loves cheese and yogurt, so i up the amount of thoses that she has.
Thanks again for the advise
Hannah x

i didn't like milk either at a young age...

my grandma used to warm it up and put some sugar in it, tastes much better.
or flavoured milk, back in the days it was just strawberry flavoured milk but now there
are lots of flavours out there, banana, apple, kiwi, red fruits,....
i honestly thought my mom was a godess when she brought that home for me lol

You can hide spinage in most baby foods, which is excellent for them. Also with milkshake watch out for sweetners. They are evil to children. There is nothing wrong with a sugary drink at mealtimes, or at bedtime if you brush thier teeth afterwards. We use nesquik or ovaltine

Daisy was a non milk drinker too for a while there, I tried blending banana, strawberries everything to get her to drink some!

She has started drinking a few oz's at bedtime but thats about it!
She drinks out of sippy cups through the day and has a NUBY toddler cup at night, it has a soft teat style bit that resembles a bottle teat so she drinks it a bit better! and it doesnt spill if tipped up!

It doesnt worry me too much because she eats alot of yoghurts, cheese etc so she gets plenty calcium that way
