:( :(

I now have a 24 month old who will not let me do ANYTHING for him dont get me wrong these past few months all I have heard is " me do it" or "no me" But now it has got to the stage where he totally refuses any help what so ever. Now the thing is a 24 month old CANNOT (and I dont care what anyone says) wipe their bottom properly A 24 months old CANNOT dress themselves properly . He wont even let me come in the toilet with him, he can go pee-pees by himself (he uses a little step to stand on ) and he can get himself on the toilet to go poop but I NEED to wipe him !!!!!! He refuses to let me put his shoes on and I have been seen outside with a child and his shoes on the wrong feet He wont let me get his clothes he HAS to pick them ( not a bad thing cus he knows which tops and bottoms go together ) and he has to dress himself which takes forever, he is actually not bad at dressing himself but trousers and top on back to front is so not a good look
And the latest thing is taking a shower instead of a bath butttttttt he has to hold the shower head and wash himself he wont even let me bloody dry him. I think I am going to crack up
Anyone else have a stubborn child ??

Ok rant over and you know what I actually feel a little better. Thanks for listening

Aww I'm sorry lol....it's tough when they insist on doing everything themselves. There are some things I'll allow them to do but others nope. Like picking out clothes they have 2 choices, otherwise we'd be there all day deciding. Getting themselves dressed...well this only applies to Hayden now as the other 2 do that just fine but I will hold the clothes out to him the correct way and he will put them on himself...I'll let him do it and if he has trouble sometimes he'll finally give in and ask for help. Wiping his butt he does himself BUT I make him let me double check lol but suprisingly he does very well. I try and let him have a chance to do it first then I help, like brushing teeth, he can do it first then he has to let me go over it, no other options. Sometimes he gets mad but now he's just getting use to it, he doesn't mind so much, he realizes it isn't worth putting up a fight anymore because those things he won't win lol

Kaya wants to put her clothes on herself and I've started pointing out that the label goes to the back. She'll often notice it's not right and ask for help, but if not I let her try and then keep offering to help.
