This is the only info I can find on it, it came from the WHO website.

Where national authorities have made children a priority for early vaccination, experts are advising one dose of vaccine to as many children as possible over the age of 6 months and younger than 10 years of age. Recommendations on numbers of dosages may need to be adapted rapidly as new data emerges.

My 8yo daughter is booked in for another in 3 weeks, bless her she wasn't impressed, I had to coax her into the GP room as it was.

She does have a sore arm which started about 5hrs after the jab yesterday but otherwise she is fine. I did check on her at least 10 times last night though!!

Some updated information!

The task of vaccinating children has been made easier by new advice from Government vaccination advisers that they only need one dose of the jab.

It follows a warning from the European Medicines Agency that children are more likely to suffer a high fever after two doses.

Evidence suggests one dose gives good enough immunity to ensure protection against the virus

i haven't read through the whole thread coz its quite long...just wanted to post this link:

http://www.drmomma.org/2010/01/may-i...h-my-h1n1.html

even before i read this i have always been strongly against getting this jab. There isn't enough testing to prove the long term safety of it and i think its a fairly pointless risk.
I personally think theres a lot of scare mongering and media hype going on. More people die of normal flu each year and we don't all rush out and get the normal seasonal flu jab. i know plenty of people who have had SF and recovered fine...they have said its not worse than normal flu even without tammiflu.

however i understand its a personal choice so do whatever u feel most confotable with

The headlines today appear to confirm your suspicions.
