Rayan doesn't watch any telly yet. He will watch some teletubbies if I put it on, but that is only what 5 minutes. And last saturday he watched our Sinterklaas coming in Holland (it is a big thing on telly) and he watched a bit of that, but generally he really doens't watch anything yet, so I am not sure what is normal. I'd say 30 minutes a day would be okay.

Ours got into a habit of watching too much at one point. The problem was I was sticking it on when I got downstairs in the morning and then going off and cleaning the house without noticing that the kids weren't actually playing together, they were just sat glued to the tv.

I'm now weaning them off of it. As soon as they finished breakfast this morning they were shoving DVD's at me but I'm not giving in. They didn't have any TV (I didn't even turn it on) till half two this afternoon and I'm finding more and more now that they aren't actually watching it, they more want it on just so I can't have my tv (which I'm soon changing that habit too ).

If I could start again I'd have limited it from the start too. I'm hoping to eventually push mine down to an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon maximum.

Aaliyah isn't huge into TV but she will watch Spongebob in the morning for about an hour (running around and stopping to watch it now and then) and then is GLUED to TV for the Simpsons while eating Dinner - again for about an hour.

Jasmine will watch some things. It depends on the day, we mostly just have musical shows on in the background or no tv at all.

An hour to two hours top. It really depends on the day and her mood. Mostly she watches baby Einstein though, she's not much interested in anything else. In the mornings I'll have the tv on to news or cartoons but she generally runs around and once in a while stops, looks at it, and continues to run around

the Tv is on most part of the day but Jack doesnt really watch it. He will stop for a few theme tunes watch them and then as soon as the music stops hes off playing again. I tend to have the news on for me.

Our tv is on more a less all day, i just leave the disney channel on, she doesn't really sit and watch it, its bascially just background noise, she plays with her toys most of day or follows me around copyng whatever i'm doing, but if a catchy song comes on she'll stop whatever she's doing and get up and dance
