Milk in his cot?

My little boy is two years old now and he still lays on my lap to have milk before bed, my OH seems to think that he should be put in this cot with the milk to drink by himself, does anyone think that this is a good idea?

I suffer with a bad back and i think that my OH is trying to think of ways to stop me from putting it under added pressure.

I would say yeah.. Tom's younger and at his age, he falls asleep with his own milk in his cot

Everyone's different though,

Brody hads never had milk in his cot. i cant help but think it would result in spills and a stinky matress, but mostly i have always enjoyed our cuddles on the sofa while he drank his milk before bed ( besides we clean his teeth after he has finished his milk anyway so it wouldnt work) , just after 12 months we switched to a cup for his milk, but he still sat on my lap for it for a couple of months but now sits on the sofa next to me while watching something on tv or i read a book ( well as much as he wil listen to). still have a good cuddle afterwards though

anyway i dont see any reason why your lo should be having milk in his cot, if you are happy as things are

you should clean LO's teeth after the milk so that's a good excuse to enjoy cuddles with him a while longer ;-)

The only bad thing about having milk in his cot and falling asleep is bottle rot. The milk is going to be lying on his teeth all night, you should really brush their teeth after their last night bottle.

yep last thing Ally has is his teeth brushed. He did go through a short stage of wanting his bottle in bed. Not to drink but to hold! I used to give him his bottle with the lid on. He cut out his night time milk completely soon after that.

Is your LO having it from a bottle then falling asleep so you carry him to bed? You could do story while he drinks then he'd be awake enough to walk to bed?

asleep or something?

Rayan is nearly two and has never had a drink in bed. Especially since having teeth, we brush his teeth before going to bed (like his older bros and sisters) and after that there is no eating or drinking anymore.

I do understand that your OH tries to not put any extra pressure on your back, wouldn't he like to give the milk himself? Will give a lot of bounding!!!
