i took the sides of logans cot when he was 11 months because he wasnt sleeping and kept wanting to get out so i thought i would try it after nothing else worked and hes been happy ever since, and has only fallen out maybe 3 times and not once did he wake cus its so low. you can move them over when you think lo is ready .x.

logan walks into our room in the morning when hes awake awake, normally if he wakes before hes ready he just winges and goes back to sleep or we go in and settle him. we have a gate on the stairs and shut all the other doors so we know hes safe. though the last few nights hes been teething so has been coming in at all hrs so at the moment his door stays shut all night so when he cries and gets out bed he cant sneak in with us, and we go into him and settle him in his own bed. good luck with the move, hope all works out and if it doesnt can always try again a bit later xxx

When staying at mine my lil bro moved from the travel cot to a double bed at 18m. There was a gate at the door and i used to put him in the middle of the bed with pillows ether side so it was hard for him to fall out. Hes now nearly 3, has never fallen out of bed at my house and infact has a better nights sleep at my house than at home in a "normal" toddler bed.

With Landon he started climbing out of his crib at 13mo (he was very tall) so we put him in a toddler bed then. He stayed in that until 3 then went to bunk beds...top bunk. Casen slept in his crib from 11-15mo then went to toddler bed until 18mo then bottom bunk of the bunk beds, no rails at 18mo. Hayden coslept full time until 12mo then would sleep part of the night in his toddler bed part in our bed. Now since 16mo he's been in his toddler bed without rails
