Dropping milk

Hi all... long time. How is everyone??

Last month i dropped Brooke's morning bottle as she just wasn't eating breakfast. Now she is doing great and eating a large bowl of ready-brek and a yoghurt every morning.

So she was only on one bottle of milk a day (8oz) which suited me and her.. or so i thought.

The last week or so she won't drink anymore than 3-4oz before bed and is taking a good hour to actually go to sleep. I'm sure this is because her tummy isn't full.

I've tried moving her tea forward so she is hungrier, didn't work, actually drunk less. Tried keeping her up later, no luck.

When did your little ones drop their milk?

i dropped taylors milk at about a year fully. She only had a bottle of night time milk at bed time, tbh she stoped herself she just didnt want it. HV advised me to give her some porridge or something before bed to fill her up.. have you tried this?

she could be too full?

I was wondering the same thing. You could try giving her some milk in a morning then it doesn't matter as much if she only has the 3 - 4 oz at night. It could be that she's just going through a none hungry moment, Gabbi did but then got right back on it about a week later.

Gabbi still has her milk in a morning followed by a vitamin biscuit, about an hour later she has fruit with cereal of some kind. Not sure when I am supposed to stop giving her this milk.
She then has the same at nighttime and usually has 210ml but the last 3 nights she only wanted 190ml so she seems to be slowly filtering it out.
But, which one do you drop, morning, night and when do you drop the lot?????

Alasdair has no milk, he gradually stopped and hasn't had any for a few weeks now. He has dairy three times a day - in his porridge, a yogurt and then cheese on something or in something! He really likes brocolli too so that's good.

Alasdair has his tea at 5pm, usually finished by 20 past of half past latest. Then at around 6.15 I usually give him a couple of rich tea biscuits or sometimes he has his yogurt then. He goes to bed at 7 and sleeps for 12 hrs. He's usually fairly hungry when he wakes up but I wouldn't say he's ravenous.
