How much TV?

How much TV do you let your LOs watch?

I feel really bad now because after reading some threads i see some people just let them watch for the odd half hour or something as a treat.

I generally get up on a morning and put the disney channel on and its on basically all day! She doesn't actualy sit and watch it, she's playing with her toys or i'm sat learning her things, the only time she takes much notice is when theres music on and she stops whatever she's doing and she starts dancing

im sure its fine hun.
my lo is a bit of a tele addict when certain programs are on, micky mouse , fireman sam, and ITNG are his favorites, these he would sit and watch for upto about half hour before getting bored and wandering off to play, but our tv is on all the time ( background ) so if something catches his eye he will stoip and have a dance or whatever, or if the above programs are stil on after he has gotten up to play he will occasionally stop and watch for a minute or 2.
as long as watching tv isnt all they do, and they arnt watching it from about a foot away from the screen i think its fine..........

I do this sometimes. I now try to have a couple of hours with the TV off. I put music on instead as I don't like silence.

Wish mine would enjoy a bit of tv, but, as it is, he's not interested. LOL

When I was a kid I was allowed 1/2 hour a day
and when i was a bit smaller the only thing I would be allowed to watch was sesame street or the show with the mouse or hallo spencer.
