My daughter is about due her mmr jab.I am a bit worried about her getting it and dont know if she should or not. When i was a child after getting the mmr jab i started to take really bad fits and almost died because of it. Has anyone elses child had the mmr jab and how did they react afterwards?? really need some advice on this. thank you.

Hannah had it a couple of months ago and had no side affects. Have you talked to you LO's doctor about your reaction to it? Maybe he/she will be able to give you some advice

I'm afraid I can't help on the reaction side as I wussed out or mmr with my kids. I paid private & had the single vaccines. Still wiating for mumps vaccine for youngest then thats her first round done.

Its cost me an arm & leg, but did it for my own peace of mind.

my LO has had this, she was a little grumpy for a week but no major side affects. I'd speak to your doctor about it due to your past experience.

definately speak to your doctor about it. If your child has abad reaction they are likely allergic to one of the components in it, which, if you know of any allergies your child does have, you should discuss them with the doctor.

Read recently about there being 'no proven research' of the jab being 'bad' in any way. But spoken to a few mums who disagree...and saw or knew of someone who saw changes in their child, or their child was ill. Think personally, i'm going to have them done as single shots. Obviously it's up to everyone, and the majority of children are fine afterwards, just trust your instincts...whichever way! Good luck

I said Caitlyn would have them but when it came to it, I just couldn't do it. It was against everything I thought and I didn't want to give her something I wasn't sure about.

This is a very individual thing, just make sure you make the right choice for you, and have no regrets x
