At what do you class a baby as now a toddler! Also suggestions needed.

Well I've not had time to come on the forum in aaaaaaaaaaaaaaages, so many new names and members, wow!!! May have to have a whole day .... or week to catch up!! lol

So as the title says, when do you class your LO as a toddler??

Anyway, Gabbi is now 1 year, 1 week and 5 days!!! She started walking at just over 11 months and there's just no stopping her. She is obsessed with the computer, she knows to click the mouse, it turns the computer on!!! Even I didn't know that!!! This we found out after we put masking tape over the button to stop her turning the computer on and off. She knows how to work the remote, but isn't sure which channel Baby TV is on! In fact, there are many things covered in masking tape at the moment!!! She climbs into everything and can get out! Toy box, shoe box and today, she climbed up the front of her pram and got in it!!! I missed it the first time and when I looked she was sat there grinning at me!!! She puts the lid on her bottle when she's finished (can't quite push it on, quite hard), she rang my OH 13 times the other day, well it wasn't me and she was playing with the phone BUT the phone was locked!!!!!!!!! Don't ask, we have not sussed it out!

She just seems so attentive and observant (which most children are), but when it's your own, when you're with them day after day, it's just amazing how all at once, they seem to have grown up when you blinked!!!

We are actually having a trip to the UK to see family and friends in 7 weeks, no I'm not counting lol, and am going to look in Argos for some kind of toy which might occupy her, keep her thinking, busy, she's not into teddies or dolls or books, it has to do something and more than just one thing!! Any suggestions? We were even contemplating, even though it's a stupid idea, to get her a VTech lap top, but not the new baby one, but the next one up, we know she's too young and would only be able to use it under supervision, I know, stupid, but we don't know what else to get her!!! Anyone got this TV VTech Baby time centre?? That could be ok.

i still class kaitlyn as a baby and she is 1 year 1 month, i think around 18 months i would prob class her as toddler, even tho she is walking about now, lol

it is hard cos we all want are kids to be our babies forever, and so they will be, no matter how old they are. lol

gabriella is a cutie.....

Thanks for that, thought it was around that age.

Just looked on ELC website and there's a drawing canvas for 1 - 3 years which I thought could be great as Gabbi has been "drawing" with my pencil a couple of times, under supervision!! But then you look at the first time crayons and they are from 18 months!!! Bit daft aging, guess they can just look at the canvas!! lol

But then I saw an aqua draw mat, never heard of this which I think is gonna be prefect. So forget laptop, I've found the perfect toy for her!

I think it depends on the person, same say 12 months some say 18. Personally for me I classed Hannah as a toddler when she started walking (11 months as well). And now really at 14 months, to me, she's lost a lot of her baby characteristics.

not sure on the toys. Hannah loves her Little People train set at the moment

my lo loves aqua draw too , although he does suck the water out of the pen on occasion, just wanted to add they now do a travel aqua draw mat that comes in a plastic travel case for 9.99 from argos ( also is in the 2 for £15 offer) which would be great for traveling with.
