now using a duvet

well i decided it is now cold enough that a duvet was warranted.
i did in the end go for a normal single one in a 7.5 tog, and although i have had to fold almost half of it underneath the cot matress i believe we are getting away with it, there is lots of side to tuck in, and 7.5 seems to have been the perfect choice in tog too, he slept in it for the first time last night and was lovely and cosy in it.
i have also discovered that a duvet doesnt get kicked off every time he rolls over in his sleep, i guess because it dosn't get wrapped around his legs etc..

anyway, pointless thread really but there you go

I'm thinking about a duvet for Ally soon so no, not pointless! for me anyway lol. Ally is in sleeping bags but he needs 18 mths+ ones and I'm not sure whether just to buy a duvet instead. He sleeps with a pillow now and loves it!

Glad Brody likes his cuddly duvet

Yup I've been thinking about a duvet too, just worrying about her kicking it off like she does with her blankets.
Bethanylee I wish Ophelia would have taken to sleeping bags, she always hated them and I dont think Ive had a single night where I havent had to get up to put her kicked-off blankets back on her.
xxxxx

yeah the duvet seems to stay put easier , i think because it is lighter and dosnt cling to him the same way blankets do

I put my son in a cot duvet at 12 months and two months on I am still having to tuck him in several times a night! He just goes to sleep on top of it when I leave the room
