How far would you commute for work?

I have an interview for a job tomorrow that is an hour away by car but I would have to take the train and bus so it would take a bit longer.

I have looked for something closer and there just isn't anything or i would be waiting for awhile and I really want to start supporting my daughter financially (at the moments my parents support us and I am so grateful but I want to help out as much as I can.)

Im worried its to far I don't want to commit to something I would hate.

How far would you commute?

It depends. Is the job something you really want to do? Or is it 'just a job'? I would commute a lot further for a job I was interested in rather than not.

I travelled an hour before. That was driving there (normally meant that half that time was me stuck in traffic)

Im really worried about being over an hour away if anything happened to LO. This is an hour without traffic but i would be on the train so it wouldn't affect me.

Its better than a waitressing job because its more money. Its a tutor centre that teach English, im thinking of becoming a teacher so it might be a good way to tell

It really depends. If it's worth the money and you need money than you've got to do what you've got to do. I could never commute an hour, but at least it's on a train and you wouldn't need to drive. I drive only like 20 minutes to work, sometimes longer since I drive home at 5PM but it's not really that bad, it could be worse. You could take the job and see how it goes, if it's something that you don't particuarly want to do, than you could always change your mind. You might enjoy the quiet time on the train to relax before you've got to go to work.

I'd do it. But then I live in greater London and mist people commute to central London for work anyway. Although I actually do a 20min commute in the opposite direction, fine though as it's not the way with heavy London bound traffic

It really just depends. I wouldn't travel more than 20 minutes. That's how far away OH's work is and it drives me insane.
