Sooo I had my college prom on friday night. I had everything ready, and my gorgeous dress ready.
On the thursday my OH's sister did acrylic nails for me and said I should go into this other salon to get them airbrushed to match my dress.
So on the friday morning my nan took me down to the shops and I went into the nail salon. I was worried about the fumes but I knew airbrushing only takes about 10 mins.
So i went in, picked my design and sat down. As she started to do it i started to get all hot so i took my coat off. Then i started to feel light headed. All i remember then is saying to the woman, that i feel really faint next thing i know i cant lift my head up, see properly, and i passed out. When i came back round like a minute later i threw up all over the floor and someone had called an ambulance!
So i got taken into hospital in the ambulane and spent the majority of my day in a hospital bed!!
Not really the day i had planned.
But they checked everything over and everything is fine. It was just the fumes in the shop. The thing is, the woman who was doing my nails was 8 months pregnant herself! So how does she manage it??

Needless to say im never going back in there again haha
Prom was amazing even though id spent all day like that

wow! the same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago, except there was no ambulance!
I was in the nail salon and started to get really hot and light headed, i knew it was the fumes and they turned on a fan next to me and i was much better after that!
im glad everything is okay!

wow really?! god i was really embarressed lol. Yeah i thought who ever rang the ambulance was a bit OTT lol. Yeah the place wasnt very well ventilated and the woman next to me tried turning on this little tiny fan, didnt do much haha.
Its a horrible feeling isnt it?
and thanks, i was worrying so much about my LO i wasnt bothered about me lol

Aww bless you!!

She must be used to the fumes working in there all day everyday. I know when i get mine done they always sit me in the station nearest the door so i get plenty of fresh air!!

Oh...glad you're ok.

Whe I have mine done,they also always sit me next to the door,or the terace door.The fumes can get really bad!

thanks girls =] yeah i should have mentioned i was pregnant when i went in, cuz my bumps only lil they couldnt tell. I think im too scared to go in and get them done again lol.
My OH's sister is a beauty therapist so she does the acrylics at home for me so we have the doors and windows open, so no more airbrushing for me.

When i passed out and when i was feeling all faint, my stomach felt sooo weird. i really hope it wont have affected the babba at all

Aw, glad your feeling better now.

I'm okay, I do mine myself at home, so I do it right by the window, on my dining table, haha Evr'yone complains of the acrylic though, "Donna, That's strong" Im like "Duhhhhhhh"

haha yeah it is really strong! thats where she does mine at the dining table lol. My OH always moans about the smell hahaha oh well, gotta have nails! lol x
