I'm Currently Feeling:

I need advice please

My OH is drving me mad. He really doesn't understand that mood swings come along with pregnancy.
He doesn't treat me like I'm pregnant! Ive talked to other girls and they've said how their bf's tell them to chill out and relax and give them massages. Mine doesn't!
I'm 14 weeks pregnant and I've put loads of effort in for my baby. I've quit smoking, I'm putting Uni off for a year (if i can still go next year), I didn't have an 18th birthday party which had already been booked because my mum cancelled it when she found out i was pregnant. I've been spending my EMA on baby things and he just hasnt done anything!!
I asked him to do two things when we found out I was pregnant, to quit smoking, and to find a better job.
We found out 9 weeks ago that i'm pregnant and he hasnt made any effort to do either of those two things!!
Whenever I bring this up it ends up in an argument and I cant afford to be getting angry for my baby's sake.

Someone please help!! I need advice.
Thank you

xxx

It makes me quite upset. Some people have said it might not hit him untill the baby is born but i cant go on like this throughout my whole pregnancy. Thanks for replying xxxx

I get told I'm dramatic by my OH when I have an ache or pain.

Men just don't understand pregnancy I don't think!

mine is absolutly useless! when i told him the baby kicked he just said "oh". i don't think it's real to him either, especially as only i've heard the heartbeat- i'm hoping it all sinks in when he sees baby at the scan next week. we normally argue whenever the baby is brought up in conversation! maybe when your OH can feel the baby kick he might start to change

I had the same type of issue with my bf when we first found out I was pregnant and now that I'm huge and he sees the baby moving and he knows that hes about to be here soon, things have changed. Its hard during the first trimester because thats when it feels like you need the most support and when you don't get it, its annoying!!! But try not to stress. We women always seem like we have to be the stronger ones that sacrifice so much when it comes to these things. Things will get easier and until then, we'll be here to listen when you need to vent. Take care of yourself
