Hi, I'm Verity, I am 17 years old and I have a story to tell.
Three years ago, I started going out with my best friend, James. We had been best friends before we went out, during and still are now. Anyway, when I was 15 (and don't look down on me for that), we decided to sleep with eachother. We were both ready, no pressure from either party was invloved, and I trusted him so much. You know how you feel when someone has their arms around you and everything seems ok, you feel safe...well I felt like that, like nothing could go wrong.
But, unfortunately the condom split.
3 weeks later I took a test.
I remember when I got the result, me and James were just sitting there on my bed, me in tears, him unable to speak, a few tears from his part too.
It was awful, but after a while we came round to the idea of it, and even got slightly excited. We were going to keep the baby, until I had a miscarrage.
This tore me and James apart, I couldn't bring myself to look at him because felt so guilty and as if it was all my fault. This basically forced us to split up, but we still managed to remain best friends, this has brought us far closer together and he knows all about me as I do him. He helped me through so much, and I really do love him.
As a friend of course :P
Anyway, I just wanted to tell my story and hope anyone can relate to what happened to me
