Hey honey, you just gotta go ahead and be straight with them. The longer you leave it the worse it will get.
I'm sure if your boyfriend loves you he will be over the moon. It will be a bit of a shock to everyone at first but they will come to terms with it. Even if not, go ahead and do what you think is right.
Good luck! xxx

Hey, good luck telling your boyfriend. I would advice you tell him soon because you'll only make things worse.
I was worried telling my husband and we've almost been married 6 years! Its just the pregnancy hormone i think! When i told both my hubby and family i cried! Not sure why!!!- they were over the moon!
If you are sure you want to keep the baby does it really matter what everybody else thinks? I know it makes it easier to have support from your family but if they dont u'll be fine on your own.
Take care and good luck xx

You have to sit him down and tell him right away honey! Pregnancy isn't something that will go away.

Best wishes and I hope that all works out for you!

You need to tell him - especially as you plan to keep it; if you don't tell him he will just notice sooner or later - and if you leave it he might be mad you didn't tell him he was gonna be a daddy sooner...

When I found out I was pregnant I was 18. My mother had taken me to the docs because I had been having tummy trouble and bad pains but no period - finding out I was pregnant was a total shock because I had been on the pill so just hadn't considered it a possibility. I found it so hard to take in and just couldn't pull myself together enough to go home and plan how to tell the folks or my then-fiancee, so I asked the nurse if she could call my mother in and just showed her the stick... she just hugged me and told me that it would all be okay - and it was! I phoned DH when I was still in the nurses room - I had wanted to tell him in person and asked him to come down straight away, but he lived 200 miles away at the time and wanted to know why I needed him to leave work, drop everything and make the £50 and 6 hour journey down to sunny essex... So I just told him "I'm pregnant". His initial reaction was "I need a drink"

But we got married as planned and are now living happily ever after

Everything will be okay hun - You and your partner have got 9 months to get your head this and that's a long time - by the time you have your baby this will all seem so distant in the past, and you won't be able to imagine life any other way...

Good luck! Do let us know how he takes it

I pretty much told my OH straight away ha ha!! We were making steak and i decided to take the test and didnt tell him i was doing it and went back through giggling (i think it was the shock ha ha) i told him half way through dinner and took him to the train (he lives in edinburgh during the week) dont think we talked much both in so much shock and then he came back the next day cos he couldnt wait a week and we decided to keep the bean and went and told his parents ha ha!!

Good Luck telling him!! Sure he will be fine but the longer you leave it the harder it will be to do it.

you definatly should just tell them.
it will be alot easier in the long run!!

the hardest person for me to tell was my mum.
i wrote her a letter and put it on her bed.
Ive never felt so anxious in my life thought waiting for her to come down after reading it.

But all is good now and i cant be happier

Trust me girl!! youll feel so much better for it in the end and your baby will thank you too

I first fell pregnant when I was 19 and it was the scariest thing in the world having to tell the dad (seen as we wern't actually a couple). I rang him out of the blue and asked if we could meet up and I was just straight with him, he accepted it and it went from there. telling my parents was a little more scary. i thought they would go banana's but they didnt, my dad said these things happen for a reason and we can deal with anything that gets thrown at us, my mum said OMG im going to be a grandma? but they get used to it, they have to at the end of the day they are going to be a massive part of the babys life if you keep it. telling them asap has so many advantages, u get lots more support from your family in making the hard decisions.
good luck girl and let us know how it goes

If you truely want this baby then the dads reaction shouldn't matter. Might sound harsh but you cannot trap him into something he doesn't want to do. I know it's partly his fault, it takes two to make a baby. But if you want it and he doesn't you and expect him to want to be a part. I gave my OH the option to go, I didn't want him to stop doing what he wanted to do unless he wanted to.

As for family. They're always disappointed. The worst thing my mum said to me was, "I'm not mad, I'm disappointed". That ripped through me like a knife and she didn't talk to me normally for days after that. But she came around, we talked and she adores my son (named after my dad who passed away 3 weeks prior ot birth) and is buying like mad for number 2.

It is not going to be easy and you have to be sure you want to keep this baby for the right reasons.

MY OH was with me when I did the test and he giggled "looks like your pregnant boo boo" (boo boo is the pet name he calls me )
I was shocked and confused!!!
I was meant to be going back to uni in september to do my teaching after completing my degree last year!!!
Whilst in another country I was getting my mum to do the online application etc!!!
I told my mum and her first reaction was "I knew this would happen" "Its not the right time"!!!
Well my question is "When is the right time?"!!! Im planning on still becoming a teaching but it means just having a little break!!!
It took about 4 weeks for my mum to get her head around it and now she is very excited!!
Hope everything works out for you in the end.... Im sure it will!!!
