Hi girls, im new to babyandbump. I'm 17 and just recently found out im pregnant.
I knew there was no way i could tell my mum and straight away booked an abortion. But on saturday i really felt it was right to tell her and i did, she was angry as hell at first and then cried and said she'd support me whatever i decide to do.
And now i'm so confused on what to do!! There is part of me that really wants it, i could live next to my mum (we own a farmhouse with lets) and i could have the end let which is lovely and big. My boyfriends still with me and not going anywhere soon, he wanted it at first and now is really confused too.
Is there anyone else who is or was 17 and pregnant?! If you decided to keep the baby, why was that? and if u decided for an abortion, why was that?
Im just woried i wont be able to live my life and enjoy being young, thats all thats stopping me. I have till friday till my consultation so i really have to decide soon. I think im about 3 months gone already. Please help i really dont know what to do!!
All I can say whatever you decide, dont do anything unless you're completely sure. I cant imagine what its like to be in your shoes, I knew straight away that I wanted my baby, a friend of mine however found out on the same day as me and she decided the best option for her was to have an abortion. Talk to your mum, talk to your boyfriend and they'll help you decide whats best. but remember, only you can make the decision at the end of the day.
Feel free to private message me if needs be. Good Luck *hugs* xx

I was always for abortion, but then when I got pregnant,it just didn't felt right.
I just couldn't.I decided to have it,honestly,I know it sounds vague but I just felt it and wanted it.
Now,my situation is very good even though I'm not with the baby's dad.
To tell the truth,I never wanted kids at all but now I'm happy that she'll be in my life in a few months...I just feel good about it,I can't explain.

Listen to your heart.
I'm 15 and pregnant with my first baby, my son, and trust me I was in your state of mind not too long ago. You might feel like you will have to stop your life where you are if you decide to keep him/her, but in reality it's not that you can't follow your dreams, they just get put on hold for a couple of years. The truth about this situation, though, is yes; you do have to grow up. Once you have a child your life is about that child and s/he is top priority, above ANYTHING else in the world. You need to decide if growing up now is the right thing for you to do.. Deciding to keep this child was the best decision I've ever made, I know I never could have lived with myself if I got an abortion or gave my son up for adoption, everybody's different. Either way, you can't go back on your decision. Make sure you are 300% sure with what you decide; the only thing worse than making the wrong decision is regretting it. to you, and good luck!

Heya, I'm Rachel an i'm 16 an 30 weeks + 5 days pregnant. i decided to keep my baby after a long two weeks of changing my mind an thinkin of all the possibilities. My first reaction of course was abortion, an i even booked an appointment an sittin in that waitin room for them to shout my name while other girls (young an old) walked out holdin there stomachs cryin lookin so lost, thats what it took me to change my mind. Yeh i had some major growin up to do, i had to think everythink through so carefully.
You say your about 3 months gone yeh?
Well do you think you will be strong enough to have to give birth to that baby/get it sucked out of you, now it is a boy or a girl.
Dont rush this decision as it will be the biggest one of your entire life! i honestly know how you feel but i think you + your partner should sit down an talk EVERYTHING through an work out together what is right for you two (especially you!)
were all here for you if you need to talk an never forgetthat what ever decision you make xx

Its a decision you do have to make for yourself. I was 17 when I feel pregnant, im now 18 with a beautiful boy. But you have to do whats right for yourself. Weigh it all up...are you able to bring up this child financially comfortable..things like that. Its not really something you can decide on overnight. Good luck in whatever you decide xx

I believe all the wonderful ladies have posted my thoughts.
I do hope that whatever you decide will make you happy in the long run. I can't imagine what it would have been like to be pregnant at an earlier age and I am not even sure what I would have done back then.
Best wishes to you!

i wish you the best in what ever you decide to do. Its really completely up to you, talk to your family and your boyfriend and make sure you have their support, without it, it will be hard to bring a baby into the world without any support. Most of the women in here all decide to keep there babies..hence the reason they joined this forum, but there is just as many women out there who choice to abort...so dont feel bad if you choose that option. My friend whose 18 just had an abortion at 11 weeks...this was the best option for her and shes happy about her decision. Make sure you make a decision soon though, im not sure where you live..but in Australia, or at least in Victoria prior to 12 weeks you can have the normal abortion procedure, but once you pass 12 weeks to abort the baby you supposedly have to actually give birth to it like you would at 40 weeks...its a harder process, so id suggest you make your mind up soon. If you choose to keep the baby remember its a lifetime commitment, you cant just pick up and leave when things get tough, are you mature enough? responsible enough for yourself and for someone else? are you financially stable? consider all these options. but whatever you decide to do, best wishes, hope you make the right decsion, bringing a baby in the world i think is the most rewarding thing, but also can be the hardest thing. So think hard
best of luck
