Hiya hun the jobcentre and connexions are bloody useless the lot of them! I've managed to find the surestart grant form here:

http://www.dwp.gov.uk/advisers/claim...f100_print.pdf

Print it off and fill it in, i think you need to get it signed off the midwife though. xx

You don't need to be referred to see the under 18's adviser. Just pop into JC and collect the income support form, ring up and make an appointment to see him/her (or make the appointment when your there?), take in the forms and documents you need, she'll have a quick flick and photocopy your forms, then you just have to wait until the process it.
Surestart grant..I got the forms from my midwife I think.

i did try and make an appointment with her but they said she was busy i was like well surely there must be a day she isnt, they took my deatails to ring back but no phone call since ! they didnt seem to have a clue tbh and im starting to get impatient with them
ill keep trying to make an appointment though and see what she says
im new to the whole beneifieits thing and as none of my family have ever claimed anything like this were all pretty clueless as to what to do
