Questions to ask your doctor?

So I had my first appointment on the 9th and my doctor is great but when he asked what questions I had I went blank! lol. What are some things I should be asking him at my next appointment? Also, what happens in the 2nd appointment, I will be 14 weeks at that point. Do I get to hear the heartbeat at each appointment? The only instrument for hearing heartbeats that I saw was the ultrasound machine, so will I get to see my baby each time I go in? (that would be awesome!! lol).

Ask him where you'll be delivering the baby (like which hospital)
What to do if you have bleeding or some kind of pregnancy-related emergency outside office hours

I think you'll get to hear the heartbeat at every appointment, the machine to listen is quite small so could fit easily in a desk drawer etc.

I heard my baby's at every single prenatal appt.

ahhh, at my first i had nothing, at my second after bloods and stuff i was asking so many question i think she thought she was on some kind of quizz show.. hehe :P felt a bit mean.
My midwife said they don't usually look to find it because it's really really difficult to find, in the early weeks of second tri..
but so far i've heard mine at every appointment.. although, if you want to and they don't offer, you could always ask, they'll probably try and see if they can find it..
especially as it puts your mind at ease.. stops us crazy mums getting into complete states!
xxxx

I always draw blanks when the doctor asks me what questions I have for him and then on my drive home I'm like "crap I should've asked him this" haha. So I think we're all like that in a way. I always just accumulate a bunch of questions through the month before my next appt and then ask him the questions or find the answer by searching through google myself

I had my first doctor's appt at 14 weeks and I heard the heartbeat, but that was my very first appt and then I had an u/s done at 16 weeks and from then on went once every month and am now going every 2 weeks. I highly doubt you'll get an ultrasound at every appt, the machine they use to hear the HB is so small to fit anywhere so you may just not have seen it.
