water birth


is anyone considering a water birth or had one? i didnt like the idea at first but ive been reading about it and it seems so nice. i think i would actually look forward to labour if i had a water birth.

i'm thinking about it. im going to ask my midwife about it at my next appointment. i love the idea and ive watched a few videos, most of them look really calm x

yeh i just watched some videos...it seems completely different to a normal birth so much calmer. i hope im allowed one.

I want a water birth Like you said they look so calming, plus there is less risk of tearing!

I'm hoping for a waterbirth if the pool is available, I will be speaking to the MW about it tomorrow, hoping she says it isn't used too often and I will most likely be able to use it, I think I'd be gutted if I couldn't use it

not tearing as much was the first thing that made me look into it. i like how your left to it more as well. i dont want anyone in with me apart from the midwife and whoever actually needs to be there so i like that even they can step back a little bit.

i was fully planning to coz i was terrified of tearing, up until the minute i got into the hosp i was gonna ask them if the pool was available but then we got there and for some reason went totally off the idea.
Lol i just wanted everyone to stop touching me, ddnt like nethin on my skn, especially not water all over.
Lol i cant explain it, but yeh i did want it before lol - it looks lovely xxxx

i'm having one (if everything goes to plan) they are fantastic! Really relaxing for you and bubsy and as its already been said A LOW RISK OF TEARING which is enough reason for me to want one personally x
