I did it over the phone, not because I couldn't tell her to her face, but because I was at my friends for a week and I didn't want to leave it that long. I text her and said there was something that I needed to tell her. She called me and asked me what it was. I said I couldn't tell her because I was afraid of her reaction. She said I could tell her anything. I made her promise not to get mad. She promised. I told her. She didn't believe me at first, then, she did. She cried for a while, two days before she stopped completely I think, then she was just fine. Now she's the most excited nan-to-be on the planet. She knows I did what was right for me, my boyfriend and my baby. I wasn't being stupid and I told her that. She said I've ruined my life and I had to explain to her that it wasn't ruined I had just changed it. Yes, I made it slightly more difficult, but since when has anything easy been worth doing?
Thats a great saying in the end!Might become my new mantra...
Don't you just hate it when people tell you ''you ruines your life''?What does that even mean? What makes one life ruined? You ruin your dress when you accidentaly rip it or spill something unwashable on it because it can't be worn anymore,it's no longer a dress. The only way one life stops being a life is when you die...and thats clearly not a situation here...

Sorry...rambling...

No one has told me I ruined my life apart from my mum lol. I guess she's the only one who could speak her mind on the situation.

Wow so many people like to ask you how old you are Toria. Just blurt it out. Honestly. That may be the only way you'll ever get it out to your mother, but FIRST apologize for lying to her, it will make her more understanding. There are several ways you could tell her, via phone, internet, txt message or just in person, I recommend you tell her in person seeing as you'll get the best reaction out of her. I just told my grandma when I got pregnant (she's my legal guardian). She didn't get mad at first until she took me to get a test and then she was a little.. misplaced. But the thing is they won't stay mad forever, never happens, maybe a couple of days. Good luck telling your mom.

I think it's because I act like a middle aged woman and look like a 10 year old..

I think I stumbled upon atleast 5 threads where people ask you how old you are Toria...In the most random situations....
Well,my parents were the only one who told me that I ruined my life but I don't think there is one person of our age pregnant who hasn't heard it atleast once...

When I got pregnant the first time (November when I found out) I went to the docs to get it confirmed but she wasnt my usual doc and when I went to pee in the cup she looked at my hubby and said "Congratulations your life is now over". I was shocked and appalled when he told me she said that. I never had respect for her from the very beginning (because of previous stuff unrelated to pregnancy) and even dreaded having to see her but now I really dont like her and dont respect her one ounce. Thank god for this pregnancy I have a whole new doctors office to go to. My parents were excellent when I told them about my pregnancy but I did it in a cute way.

I gave them a christmas tree ornament each that said "With love to grandma at christmas" and "with love to grandpa at christmas" and wrapped them in boxes and all we said was "we bought you christmas tree ornaments!" and told them to open them...my mom was shocked almost like she didnt believe what she was reading and my dad just said "Hmmmph congratulations!!" I started to cry and mom jumped up rubbed my belly and said "We're having a baby!!" She then went on to tell everyone she could. This pregnancy I just told them over the phone as she already thought I was pregnant again and she is just as excited!! PS...I was 20 (am 21 in May)

Goodluck littlebabyboy Im sure they will be fine and they are going to love you just the same and they will love their grandson so much!! Let us know how you get on!! xo
