help with clothes :D

So i'm on ebay looking for a dress to wear since my bump is growing, and i just look fat in regular clothes. haha

How much do maternity clothes vary from regular clothes? I wear a regular size Medium in t-shirts and tops, so if i order a maternity top or dress would medium work, or would i have to wear a small because its larger?

I just don't want to order something that will end up being huge on me...

thanks girls

i think the way its meant to go is you order your normal size in maternity, although depending on how big you are you may want to go a size smaller.... eg i ordered a top in a maternity size 10 when i wasnt as far along and it was huge on me and looked stupid xD now i order maternity size 10s and they fit fine...
xx

Yeah you may find maternity stuff in your normal size might be a bit big to start, but you'll need the extra space when your bigger.

a good way to tell is go and try on a maternity dress in a store and then see which size fits you best. Then order that size on the internet. Saves a guessing game

Apart from a couple of pairs of maternity jeans Tattie has gone with normal clothes but in bigger sizes which works out a lot cheaper.

Leggings and long tops are comfy and you get a lot more for your money just buying a size 12/14 from Primark or similar than you do shopping for maternity stuff even on ebay .... when she has needed dresses she has just borrowed them from people who wear a bigger size than she does (she's normally a size 8).

You will have to be careful about the styles so that shoulders etc don't swamp you but on the whole it's a more practical option
