Well I've pretty much always been a nutcase and nothing suprises my family! So when I told them I was pregnant they were quite relieved cause they thought it might calm me down a bit !! xx

I'm 19, my family were so happy, I was really suprised, especially by my dad, I thought he'd have words with my bf! But they are happy as it is their first grandchild, and my mum is proper broody!

I was 18 when I found out, my OH wanted an abortion, the nurse & doctor advised that I have an abortion & even a colleague seemed sympathetic toward the idea but at NO point had I expressed such a wish - in fact quite the opposite - because I don't believe in it for a lifestyle choice (only in ethical situations.)
Thankfully my mum is a Christian & though she actually found out by reading it on the receptionists computer screen when she went to get a prescription (oops!!! we won't complain though or the poor girl would get sacked.) She just texted me and said that she needed to give me a big hug, said she'd heard worse news & all has happily progressed from that point.
So I can't really offer advice directly about mum but my OH originally freaked out for weeks, first refused to talk to me, then tried to convince me not to keep the pregnancy but yes he's eventually accepted it & is starting to get pretty involved. I'm glad your mums accepted it too, but although it might still not be great theres no way she'll be able to resent her grandchild :-)
Hope everything continues to get better for you xxx

My parents have completely come round to it now.
I just gave them space that day and then the next day they were fine.
Really supportive, buying my vitamins and buying me books and making sure i was okay.
Really grateful!! x

well i'm 15 about to turn 16, and i'm 7 weeks pregnant. when i found out about 2 weeks ago, the first person i told was my boyfriend. he was ecstatic. and i'm supposed to be the "goody two shoes" out of my group of friends so when i told them, they were shocked to say the least. i told my mom and dad and they were disappointed in me because they've given me many talks about safe sex. my mom will support me though, she had my sister when she was 15. idk about my dad though. no one told me to have an abortion or anything, nor do i want to have one; me and my boyfriend are against abortion 100%.

My mum was fantastic from the start, me and my mum have always been very close and more like best friends. She had her first child at 19 (the same age as me) so she said she couldn't really talk and she's now soooo excited.

My dad was the complete opposite, he said all sorts of awful things, including 'I will never accept this decision!' but now he's very happy and he's even suggesting names and he bought LO a sleepsuit saying 'Grandad knows best' as a joke for him being so pig-headed at the start - we even sometimes laugh at the stupid things he said when he was angry at me, he joins in!
