Yeah you can here, but the nice ones have HUGE waiting lists, id be on em for like a 2 yearsD:

where are you from hun iv been bidding for nearly 2 years my son is nearly one for god sake and i still dont have enough points how many do you have? i still live with my mum and dad house is over crowded its ridiculous so i know how u feel were going to the council tomorrow to have a bit of a rant and see if they have any suggestions that will help us because im totally fed up now - sorry for my mini rant there lol

where i am you dont have points you just get but in a "band", my mums in band 2 and we've been waiting since febrauary but you just bid on what ever house you want thats on the council website so you can pick where you live, which is quite handy as we have a look at the houses before we bid.

the council are useless i was on it for 3 years and mya was 9 months by the time i got somewhere just keep bidding

thankyou everyone for replying its intresting to hear that all our councils are crap basiclly lol.

me & my OH went into the council & showed them letters from the landlord which showed the tennant agreement & a letter saying that we've been good tennants & the date that we have to be out (22nd march - bubas due date)

and they said that we need a 'section 21' from the landlord whatever the hell that is & that we need to keep bidding keep bidding & keep bidding, we are in quite a high band, band 2, this council doesnt have points either anymore & apparently they dont have a list either cause i asked how far up the list we were & they said 'it doesnt work like that'

i just know that if they do give us a place its gona be like 2 weeks before bubas born, how are we gona get the place clean, decorated, buy our furniture, get all our furniture in ...its just not gona happen is it??

after coming out of hospital with my first newborn beautiful boy or girl, i want to know im going somewhere safe, clean, secure & comfortable that i can call my own, for buba, for me & my OH

We cant go into private rental because atm we split the costs with OH sister & her friend, so we wouldnt be able to afford the deposit on our own.
