Where do you live? If you live in the UK go to the council?

First of all, congratulations! There are lots of us out there with little money so you are not alone! If you are UK based, get along to the local job centre where they can help you with benefits etc. There are lots of thins you would potentially be eligible for but you need to start thinking now - the forms can be a bit of a nightmare.

Best tip i can give is call your local branch of citizens advice bureau - they'll be able to sit down with you and explain what you are entitled to and how to apply for it. Take heart, it is possible and I'm sure things will work out for you - good luck!

if you're here in the USA we have plenty of programs to help you out as well. Check out WIC and see if you can't get anythign else.

Good luck and congrats!

Nobody thinks that...

If you live in UK then you can go to the council. But I'm not sure if they'll give you a flat because you are a minor.Thats how it works in US(thats where I'm from). Here you have to live with your parents till you're atleast 18.

She wouldn't kick you out, would she?

congratulations.

Re housing, go to your local council, they should help - and call shelter (housing charity) they'll tell you what your rights are.

If you get the number for welfare rights team from your local council, they can help you find out about benefits that you'll be entitled to.

congrats :-)

If ur mum hasn't chucked u out liek shes threatned to do..then she won't! she's just angry and shocked and is saying things without thinking.. i can gurantee if she felt that strongly about it.. you would have been put out ur house from the minute you told her.

People won't think your scraping off the benefit ppl... these things just happen!
I'm 18 and fell pregnant and wasn't working..still amn't and the council pays my rent etc... i dont care..
but you won't be entitled to benifits until ur 16+ and very unlikey council will give u a flat as u need to be 16+ to be a tennant.
Things always seem like its the end of the world at the beginning and everyones against you.. but your mum forgets she was once pregnant to! Just give her time and i'm sure ..since your not already chucked out..she will come round and love the baby just as much as you do :-) !
This is ur first pregnancy ..its ur body and ur life.. dont let ur mum ur friends or anybody ruin it for u !!

x
