I don't know alot but i'll tell you what i have been told. You firstly need to get in touch with citizens advice beuro (whatever its called) because even if you are on sick, you should be entitled to some sort of wage. If not, find out about claiming job seekers allowance. As a single person you will only be offered a single persons room rate until you have your child. I think this is between 50-60 quid a week. You will most likely be offered a room in a shared house. If you can hang on living where you are until your baby is born, and then go into your local housing and declare yourself homeless, they will most likely offer you a bedsit / flat. You need to get in touch with your job centre about help with benefits and council tax ect.
Your best bet is to go into the citizens advice beuro because they can tell you everything you need to know xx

hiya shug me and my OH had a house with in one month of applying for a house. we said we were living in an overcrowded house (kinda true, i was still living at my mums but we declared me as living with my oh and his mum, dad and brother in a 2 bedroomed) sleeping on the sofa, we also got my OH's mum to write a letter saying we would be homeless as of such a date as she could not afford to house us and didnt have to room. Maybe this would help. Also if you drop your hours to 16 ( i think) you would be entitles to job seekers allowence, if you do get your own place you would also be entitles to income support and houseing benefit, also council tax credit. I think most of this is right, but your best bet is go to the local citizens advice beuro. also many councils wont accept your application without a matb1 which you normally get at 24 weeks of your midwife.
hope this helps

You need to go to council asap but remember they can only give you what is available and that could be anything from a flat to a hostel x good luck x
