mum doesnt think boyfriend is 'pulling his weight'

okay aidan is 2 weeks old now exactly, the first week my boyfriend came over everyday and then last week he came over every day too bar the days he was working. he took two weeks off college and the first week off work completely. now i'm not seeing him until christmas day because he's working 9 - 6 everyday this week bar christmas day. my mum doesnt think hes pulling his weight because he's not coming round to see me or his son, but i completely disagree because if he finishes work at 6 he can only get the 10 to 7 bus, then that gets to mine at about half 7 then he has to get the half 8 bus back, so it doesnt make much sense + i'm absolutly fine with not seeing him this week, it makes me look forward to christmas even more and atleast he is out working. i know some of you will think i can go to him but its a long story so it's not worth mentioning lol. i'm just so annoyed because i completely understand why he's not coming round and i'm 100% fine with it. soooo annoyed with my mither.

sorry for the rant!! just wanted to see what people thought.

i understand hun, if ur happy with it then dont let it bother you mothers always have too say there peace, shes probably just seeing it from her point of view and not urs, altho many farthers work 9-6 and come home too bath + put the kids too bed, but then they dont have traveling to do, dont want him running him self ragged n if ur ok on ur own then its not her problem is it! x

I understand how you feel in a way. I think your mom is more just looking ahead, worrying that EVERY week will be like this.

If your happy with it,that's fine and works well for the both of you.

Personally my OH works 8-5pm and gets an hour bus journey over to mine to put baby to bed and feed him....but that's entirely up to you.

Obviously it'll be different when we live together as we wont have this in the way..

but if your happy hun don't let it bother you x

at least he is going out to college and work, and this is setting a example for your son . Is there no way he could sleep over at yours so he dosent have to catch a bus back, then he can go to work from yours? at least then he could see him...
