blood results for down's- what did people get?


hey i was jst wondering what figure people got for their chances on having a baby born with down's? just so i can get a perspective on people around my age. thanx

i just got low risk, which was quite a relief as i my great nan had a baby with downs!

i wish mine had just said low risk i got 1:750 and then speakng to OH's cousin whose 27 got 1:17,000 so OH not bothered but when you compare it it makes you worry, don't get me wrong i am happy that it's low risk. but i did read the older you are the more accurate it is or something :S

Its true about the older you get BUT because more babys are born to younger people statistics show more younger people have downs babys (does that make sense) because more babys are born to the younger generation.

I didnt have the tests for any of mine as personaly it doesnt bother me unless it was something life threatening x

yes that does make sense thankyou, i wasn't sure whether to have it and now to be honest i kinda wish i hadn't.

Hiya hun,

Mine was 1:15000

You're results are still good though, your not classed as high risk unless its 1:200 or less
