Freaking out!!!

So i decided because i havent got a clue what the actual birth (as in when the baby is coming out) will look like i thought id take a look on the internet at some birthing videos cos im guessing they will probably show you them at your antenatal classes and i didnt really fancy sitting in a room full of strangers and watching a film like that for the first time cos i know its going to be pretty horrendous and i kinda wanna look like i know what im doing.

OH MY GOD

Im so scared.
Ahhhhh all the stretching and the pulling and slimey stuff and did i not mention THE STRETCHING!? Im sorry i know im over acting abit and everyone has to do it but its terrified me it really has. I mean of course ive thought about labour and i no its not going to be very nice but its only just REALLY hit me

Does everyone have a freak out like this at some point? Ive been pretty good so far but now im just really scared

xxx

I didn't watch a video untill after, and this is why. Don't worry at all, labour is the most wonderful thing you will ever experience. Just go in with an open mind, know what you want and what you don't, and keep reminding yourself your baby will be here soon and keep telling yourself the pain will get worse (so you learn to cope with the pain you're in at the time)

Good luck

Not true, in fact lots of people actually say they feel tighter after. I dont no about that but its been just the same, a bit sore the 1st few times but thats about it. Its like being a virgin all over again :P
And dw, strangely enough (i know this is hard to believe coz i totally didnt b4) its the contractions that hurt more than the actual pushing. Dont get me wrong, it hurts, but that bit that looks really scary is actually the most productive bit.
And ull be soooo proud of urself once u meet bubs and no that u went through all that specially for him/her to have a life.
he moment after ur baby is born is amazing , try not to worry too much about the bit leading up
xxxxxx

KrisKitten is right the pushing it self doesnt hurt nearly as much as the contractions , Because once you start pushing your Body pretty much takes over and says get this Thing out of me . and besides once its over with and you have your little one in your arms you can be proud of what you just went threw

I thought the pushing hurt 5 million times more than the contractions. I didn't have any pain relief and I felt the "ring of fire!" Boy-o-boy does it burn

I ddnt have ne at that point either, i think i just ddn t think it was as bad coz it hurts bare but its over quicker.
i only pushed 4 10/15 mns - then agen i totally stand by rasberry leaf tea 4 that xx

edt: lol actually wat did hurt tupidly is that i was a lil 2 tight nd struggled a bit with the final big pus so the doc had to run his finger around bubs head inside to like ease him out - now THAT burned *shudder*
