hellooo chicks
sorry, i just really needed a vent!

seriously - why do people have to put a downer on everything!? i was at my OH's sisters house the other night & i met her best friend that i know over facebook for the first time, and she kept going on & on about 'how there was nothing on me'. she seemed so cheeky. she then went on to say 'oh your baby is going to be about 4 or 5 lbs'. i was like right love, cos your a midwife arent ya. and then i was like 'well a few weeks ago he weighed 4lb 7 and was weighing above average' and then she started to go on and on and on about 'how scans arent 100% accurate and she got told her baby was going to weigh 4lb but came out weighing 6lb instead'. i was like how many times have i heard this!

then she was telling me how the midwives at the hospital are 'terrible', even though she's the only person i know that has given birth at that hospital that thinks so! and because i'm breastfeeding she started going on about how the midwives don't help you (even though again i've been told differently), and how 'little boys don't like breastfeeding'.

i was rageing! i really wanted to say to her, no maybe YOUR little boy didn't like it, but that doesn't mean my little boy won't, all my boy cousins took to the breast absolutly FINE! and maybe the midwives just didn't help you cos you're such a cheeky cow! sorry this is the hormones getting the better of me!

then she was like, 'so does he kick alot?' and i said yeah all the time (because he does!) and she asked to have a feel so a lay down and she got NOTHING! she was the first person to ever put her hand on my stomach and not get a kick or a movement! then she had a feel abot and was like 'oh he's lying breech'. HOW THE HELL WOULD U KNOW!? i know he's not breech as ive learnt the feel of his head and its clearly down by my pelvic bone!

i hate people like this, just cos she had certain experiences doesnt mean yours will be the same!! and just cos shes had a baby doesnt make her an expert! (the weight, lying breech thing etc)

and btw tommy latched on perfectly from the minute he was born, we never needed ne help - my little boy loves his BM!

lol this made me laugh. people like that just thnink they know EVERYTHING because they've had one experience themselves. i've had people telling me things aswell, but just because it happened to them doesnt mean it will happen for us?? and as for baby not kicking for her, lol!! maybe he sensed you were unhappy with her so he didnt give her the satisfaction she doesnt know everything, she just acting like she does!! hope your well anyway, dont need to listen to people like her!! xx
