i breast fed my daughter .. and plan to do it again !.. i feel so much more confident this time round... ( as far as getting my bits out in public lol )..
its a great experience and even the first feed is great for the baby!.. and it really helps to tone the saggy tummy back into shape!.. I was lucky that Bailey latched on straight away and i felt it was so much easier that bottle feeding.

Well done for wanting to give it a go, when I had my 1st baby at 19 I tried to breastfeed but didn't have the support back then sadly, ended up getting mastitis and gave up but I tried again with bay no2 and breastfed for 15 months, now baby no3 is 19 months and is still breastfeeding now It is such a great and wonderful thing to do!

Obviously I know it not for some people, its just whatever works best for you I think

I also found a good thing to do was go to a class run by a lactation consultant. now you may find that intimadating so maybe see if the breastfeeding consultant or lactation consultant at your local hospital could do some teaching wiht you about a month before the baby is born, it is great for your confidence.

for discretion while out and about, another thing I did was wear my bump band under my regular tops so if I pulled my top up I had the band covering everything underneath (great if the bump band is the same colour as your own top) and my pashmina covered everything from the top down.

There are so really cool sites with 'normal' breastfeeding tops that aren't too 'mummy-like' if you look around.
