I breast fed all 3 of mine until they were about a year old - Tattie is planning on BF too.

It can be hard work at first, until you get the hang of it, so don't be afraid to ask someone who's already done it for hands on help - Mums, Aunties or even friends can be a great support and will help you position the baby until you find the best way for both of you.... Tattie is going to be staying with me (and I'm taking time off work) until she has got BF established

Once you have got into a routine and your milk supply has completely settled down (which can take as much as six weeks) it is the easiest and most wonderful thing in the world .... there is nothing like watching a completely full up LO fall contentedly asleep with a dribble of 'mummy juice' at the corner of their mouth and knowing that 'I did that'

I plan on BF'ing. I hope to get him weened before he starts teething. I'd hate to do it during. Poor little thing is having such a rough time with teething and mommy won't let him have her milk! To much stress on the little guy.
My mom wasn't able to BF me very long because they had to put her on medication and they didn't want me getting it. She breast fed my brother up until he was like 9 months though..
When I tell people I plan on breast feeding they're like "Oh..Good luck!" or "That's gonna hurt."
Which is funny because the only people that tell me that are women that have never breast fed and not even a mommy yet. Like wth?

I breastfed Imogen for a month and loved it but was gutted when my supply started to get less and less and she just wasn't satisfied anymore. I would have done it until 6 months if I could have! Give it a go and if you don't like it switch to FF - cos then at least you won't be FFing wishing you had at least tried to BF.

I'm going to breastfeed. It's good for the baby and way cheaper too! Besides, my boobs are already leaking like crazy...

i breast fed my son till he was about 8 and half months i LOVED it and for me it only hurt when he wasnt latched on right i cut him off when he started to get teeth and he bit me on purpose lol but it is one of the most fufilling things in the whole world to think that your baby is still thriving off of you and your milk and that the food that you are feeding them thats making them chunky is your milk. one thing though you have to eat lots and be healthy about it it will make your milk thicker which will make it healthier and drink LOTTTTSSSSSSSSSSSSSS of water =) i plan on at least trying to breast feed this time but i am pretty scared that i wont be able to keep up with them lol =)
