New to this..

Hi im Alex im 18 and im so new to this! feeling a bit alone at the moment, my mum and dad are not speaking to me and my friends have seemed to dissapear!!
would love to talk to anyone who is feeling the same as me? I could also use some advice on a few things, i have been given forms and things to sort out and am sposed to be making appointments but im so confused half of the time and feel like an idiot! normally i would go to my mum but that isnt an option at the moment.. im due for my 12 week scan soon and im finding it more and more difficult to rely on my BF who is getting less and less supportive by the day! sorry about the essay i just would love to talk to someone in the same situation? xx

Hiya hun, welcome to BnB and congratulations on your pregnancy! Sorry I'm not in the same situation, I am 18, but I've got my little girl now. I was similar to you with the parents and friends. My parents wouldn't speak to me for ages after I first told them, until they came round to the idea. And friends dwindled. I'm sorry you're going through a similar thing. Just take a deep breath, relax, and work out what you have to do first. Hope this helps, even the tiniest bit! Hope your scan goes well!!

Aww thanks, she's a right little madam. Yeh it's incredible being pregnant, the further along you get when you can feel him/her moving inside you is the most incredible feeling! Everyone on here is so friendly and supportive too Being a mum is the best thing in the world

Sorry things aren't how you'd hoped I hope things start to perk up soon. Pregnancy is a hard time, so take it easy and try not to worry about other people too much. They will come round in their own good time.

i was exact same at beginin, my mum and dad couldnt speak to me for agesss, and when they did it was civil and i could see the disapointment in their faces. i thought things would never ever change but now theyre soo proud and tel everyone theyre goin to be grandparents, theyve been so supportive and have done soo much for me and baby. it took a while for thm to get their heads round it but my mum said " we'll deal with it because weve got to now". it will probably just take them a while to get used to idea and then theyl realise just how much u need them

crnt relate to the OH as mine as been as supportive as he could possibly be, hes finding it soo hard now with my mood swings etc though and we do argue which we never did but i no he' here to suport us and if we dont end up workin out he will be there for his daughtter.

but as for friends ive gone from miss popular to havin no one at all. i cant even manage to pick up a friend on here haha. none of mine seem to bother with me at all anymore and wen they do i cna tell they slag me off cuz of things they say and come out with. im puttin my foot down though and when they all want somethin to do when babies here and to come and visit there all gettin told to do one haha.

its soo hard at the beginin but family wise it'll get sooo much better. youl make new friends. and ur boyfrend is prbably just trying to get his head around it and make sense of it all himself.

stay strong and congratulations. try and enjoy it as much as u can x

hey...
my friends are slowly dissapearing too..most of mine assume that cos i'm pregnant i can't come out, even though i'm only 5 wks....

men seem to be more shocked than us, and can either be really into the pregnancy, or have to grow into it...

xx
