I was on the pill, i never missed any, but i never took them at the same time every day which the doctor said makes it less effective.

yeah..I was the same - and some days I would go to take my pill and realise I hadn't taken it the day before. Luckily we had been talking about me coming off altogether to try for a baby so it wasn't a big deal. I was on the cerazette so didn't have periods and it was because I had a day of bleeding that I suspected I could be pregnant. Plus, on my birthday I couldn't drink - which is a rare thing indeed. lol...

I have come off the pill again as of Tuesday. How long after coming off the pill does it usually take to get your first bleed? Anyone know?

I came off the pill in November, and didn't get my first natural period until March ..

Yes I got pregnant on the pill with my 3rd daughter. I didnt even realise as I still was having my period on the 7 day break. I was nearly 10 weeks when I found out and that was only because I started feeling so sick and wondered if I could be pregnant. Did the test and nearly fell over and when we went for the scan was amazed to see a little baby with a heart beating away. It took my breath away I will never forget that day lol.

The thing is, everyones bodies are different and there are so many pills with different hormone levels that it can be hard to get the right one for you. The lower hormone pills have to be taken at the same time every day to be totally effective. I was on Alesse when I got pregnant and was really good at taking it every day at the same time... I took tri-cyclene for years and I would forget pills all the time and never got pregnant...

I was on the pill when I got pregnant!! I didn't come on my period one month so I took a test and hey presto!! But I didn't have any symptoms!! I have not have any pregnancy symptoms the whole way through lol apart from developing a bump and not having a period for the last 7 months!! I have had a fantasic pregnancy! But if you don't come on your period then you should take a test!

Been off the pill for 2 weeks now....and I'm all spotty. Got a mouth full of ulcers and I'm having to wear panty liners as my discharge is so heavy.

Woe is me.

Still no period tho. Can you acertain when you are ovulating if you don't get a period?

And just because you're not having a period doesn't mean you can't get pregnant, yes? Eg, when breastfeeding - return of period is usually delayed but you can still get pregnant right? (despite old wives' tales)
