Yeah, at hospital/public women's clinics to have it done electively I think the cut off might be about 12 weeks, private ones would go a bit later..

I've never had an abortion, but my sister has had multiple abortions, and is messed up emotionally because of it. Mistakes do happen, and sometimes in getting caught up in the moment we can forget to take precautionary measures. I used to be pro-choice until one time I had a pregnancy scare and looked into what the procedure really does. Sometimes I think people don't want to be informed because they would rather not know if they end up having one. I think people should have a sterile environment to have an abortion so that no wire-hangers or knitting needles are involved, but you can't tell me that a life isn't being snuffed out. I think everyone should be informed before having one, and abortion is a multi-billion dollar business. They have a bottom line, and are willing to keep people mis-informed to get profits. Use your head.
I really hope your friend is okay. I know my sister isn't, and she still cries herself to sleep several years after her last procedure. She has a daughter, and I look at my niece and wonder what it would have been like if she wasn't in our life. Was she just lucky that she wasn't one of the ones snuffed out?

Unfortunatly its legal til 24 weeks although they are reluctant to do it after 20 weeks. Some people just have no heart, i cant imagine doing that, its disgusting! Uh its such a sad world.. X
