Thanks guys,reading your posts makes me even more sure in my decision(exept when you called me mama,I almost fainted,ha).
I know I will have support in people around me,but my parents are not people I can count on and never could-it sounds horrible but thats how it is.I'm hoping to have a better relationship with my little IT...
lol, I'm sorry! Don't faint! I'm sorry your parents are like that. Is there anywhere you can stay for a few days while they cool off if you need to?
oh,I don't live with them.When I started college,I could've lived in a dorm but they bought me this big apartment and even made it my name,the reason they did that is so I don't have to visit them during spring,summer and winter vacation...Nice right?

They bought you an apartment?? Or rented you one? Quite generous if it's the former! Is there no possibility that they did this because they wanted the best for you and thought you'd prefer to have your own apartment?
I'm sorry your relationship with them is not so good anywho... Maybe this whole experience could bring you guys closer together? I know that's what happened with my mum anyway - it's like the only thing we have in comon! lol And once they come round to it, and the idea of being grandparents, they could become quite excited and supportive... You never know. Everyone reacts differently in situations like this, and one thing I've learned being pregnant is that you can never count on anyone to react the way that you expect them to.
If they are unsupportive, just ignore it and remember that you don't *need* their support - You can do this! And you have your friends (and did you say you're quite close to your sister, too?) and you have us to count on for support as well.

it would be generous if they had done it for the right reasons...They told me it's because of it,I mean not in those words but I know my parents and they also did it so they can brag to their friends...That is my parents' idea of parenting-give us money and sent us away...
But,thank you...I know that I will manage.I wish that my mom and me get closer like you and your mom...You are very lucky...
well done on making your decision hun i kno how hard it is, and theres doubt about it, you WILL be fine!
It might take a while for your parents to come around to the idea, but i bet by the time your little one arrives they will be proud grandparents!
