Dont let your friend pressurise you. Please take your time to think what is best for you.

If you have any questions that you want to ask your doctor, you could write them down as you may forget them when you get there.

I guess your friend is only trying to protect you and wants whats best for you.

You are lucky that she is there for you.

Be brave lovely, things will work out for the best in the end.

That's a good advice...If the doctor confirms this I'll probably faint so writing some questions for him down could be useful.I'm taking a home pregnancy test tomorrow(I decided it after reading some of your posts),I have it my drawer for a couple of days now but I've been afraid...I don't want to be completly surprised when I go to the doctor...Its very hard for me to be optimistic right now,but again thank you for being so nice...

Oh Nikky, my heart goes out to you. You sound a little more braver now and if you were here, I would hug you. Good idea to test before you go to the doctors. If you are positive, then you have some time to think what you really want to do.

Let us know how you get on.

I know how scary this is (was in the same position about 7 months ago) - I was on the pill when I got pregnant, too... It's best you take the test as soon as possible because it gives you longer to think about what you really want and to decide how to go about things.

As you said, avoiding things doesn't get you anywhere - if the baby is there it's best you find out asap, as ignoring it won't make it go away, it will only reduce your options and take away valuable time, which you need to think and take actions.

Let us know how the test goes, and book an appointment at your doctor asap (or go to your local family planing / drop-in clinic). Like others have said, we are all here for you if you need advice. But times like this can feel very lonely and you will need support from people who are close to you... have you thought about talking to yer folks about your fears? Or another family member - a sister or aunt, perhaps?

Best of luck, hun.

[edit: forgot to say, don't let anyone pressure you into anything... If you are pregnant, whether you keep the baby or not will be one of the biggest decisions of your life and it's very important that you make it with a clear mind, having thought about all your options - it must be your decision as it's one you'll have to live with the consequences of for the rest of your life. It's important that you do what is best for you - so that you don't regret the decision you do make for the rest of your life... It may not seem like it, but there are so many options available to you, and everything will be okay in the end ]

Well done for testing Nikky.

I have always been told that a home pregnancy test is as reliable as the doctors one (not sure if this is true).

It is probably not the result that you wanted lovely.

Make sure you keep your appointment on Tuesday.

Have you worked out how far gone you are?

False positives are really rare hun. Good luck in the doctors appointment dont be scared. And dont let your friend push you into something you dont wanna do. Do whatever you think is best for you. When I thought I was pregnant this site helped me decide what Id do if I was (Send me a PM if you want the web address).
Hope you make the right decision, whatever that is. Good luck hun. xxxxx

The worst feeling ever...I'm still in denial.I have no idea what I'm going to do.
But can someone please tell me what kind of test does the doctor do?
Well, the event happened like 7 weeks ago,I'm not sure how do I figure out how far along I am,I guess the doctor will tell me?

The doctor only asked me:

Date of last period
If I was in a stable relationship
Diet
Did I drink/smoke
Did I take folic acid

Nothing taxing. Date of your last period is really important so that he/she can give you a rough idea how far gone you are.

Make sure you look after yourself whatever you decide.

Let us know how you get on at the doctors and we will be here for you.
