I'm so ready

So, since I was like, oh 12? lol I've been ready to be a mother, but obviously was smart enough not to become one. But now, I'm engaged and the circumstances are in my favor for the most part, and I am so ready to become a mother. I have always wanted to have a child, to be a mother to make a difference to another child, of my child, and give it the kind of mother that I never had. My mother has never been a mother to me, I never really consider her my mother at all anymore, but since she has put me through hell and back, I made a decision to one day become the mother that she never was, and I am SO READY!! My fiance is less enthusiastic than I am, sadly, but he tells me that he is also ready to become a father. So we have just recently started TTC, and my hopes are high! (sorry this is so long) I don't care about my age, i'm 19, and other people would be less supportive, but why wait? If I am ready, then I'm ready. I'm not gonna wait for SOMEONE ELSE to tell me when to be ready! I can't wait! Everytime i'm in a store, I just have to stop in the baby section and my heart just fills with joy at the thought of holding my own bundle of joy, dressing them, changing their diapers, keeping them warm, soothing them to sleep, breast-feeding! The works! I'm just so excited to become a terrific mother, knowing that I most definitely will be!

I don't think you're too young at all! Your circumstances etc sound perfect and you're obviously ready for it I feel the exact same way as you do and have for aaaages but since I'm only 17 we're waiting a while like you did. Good luck!

I was a mother at 19. It's bloody hard work and I would always always advise girls of that age to have a life first, go on holidays, spend some quality time with their partner before you bring someone else into the equation. But obviously you have made your mind up and so my advice won't change it. Good luck

the same!

Oh my i know how you feel
I've been wanting a child of my own since my younger sister was born when i was 14! A lot of people (epsecially older mums, i've found) feel that teens who want a baby only want one to use an accessory, which is ridiculous in most cases.
I can't wait til i have the responsiblity of a child, to watch them grow, learn and develop and be able to teach them about the world they're going to grow up in. I'm only 19 as well and so many of my family would look down on me if i had a child this young, but in the end if you think you'll make a good mum then the choice is yours. You go girl

You go girl. Don't listen to anyone else. You're ready when you think you're ready, not anyone else. You're old enough to make your own decisions, and it sounds like your going to be an amazing mom! Good luck! <3
