I haven't been overally impressed with my MW to be honest!!

Getting hold of her has been a complete nightmare. At one point I wasn't seen for 9 weeks when it that time scale I should have been seen twice & had my second lot of blood taken, analised & had the results back!!

My first ever booking in appt with her was great. She gave me info on loads of different classes I could attend like a back massage one & a breathing technique one. She also gave me a list of what to expect from each MW appt. I was really impressed & happy. However at subsequent MW appts my MW just seems to want me in & out. She checks my urine, blood pressure & LOs heartbeat. That's it whereas on my careplan it lists a different topic to discuss at each appt. I asked her if I should start preparing a birth plan to discuss at my next appt as my care plan says & she says no!! I feel like im going to go into labour not knowing my options!!

The actual hospital i'm with however have been really good in general. When i've had scan appts, blood work etc i've hardly had to wait to be seen which is unusual for such a big hospital!! Also the sonographer at my 20 week scan was lovely. I arrived early & she didn't have anyone to see so instead of the bog standard 10/15 min scan she scanned me for 30 minutes. She couldn't see the LOs sex at first & normally on the NHS it's tough if that happens but she sent me out for a walk & scanned me again so she could tell. A lovely lovely woman!!

Im booking into a new hospital & MW this week so hopefully i'll have a better time of it!!

xxx

My Mw is ok..! seems friendly enough, but I dont think she explains alot of things, when i get home she's jotted down all these measurments of my bump & blood pressure into my notes, but she dont tell me them..! I want 2 know if im measuring correct for my stage and stuff..! so I think from now on Im gna write a few things down b4 I go & whip things into shape lol xx
