Prom?

So i have my prom next week and i bought my dress a few months ago and just tried it on and between the weight i put on quitting smoking and the pregnancy bloat i look really fat in it, a little pregnant but mostly just large

All my friends from school are already talking about how much drinking and partying we're going to do and im just wondering is it too early to tell them? It would be a lot easier and they are gonna find out eventually anyway!! I also dont want everyone looking at me wondering how i got so big over the summer i look huuuuge for 9 weeks 5 days!!

its your call. personally i would probably tell them, they are your friends after all and they will find out eventually, on the other hand i can understand why people dont tell early on.

if it were me i would wait untill they mention the drinkingthing and just be like well i cant drink so you guys can have lots of fun while your doing it. then when they ask y cant u drink then just tell them because u just found out recently your prego. so that way it doesnt seem as if your hidding things too.

Well, if you aren't sure you want to tell them just yet, you can always make yourself the designated driver. That way you have an excuse not to drink. As for the bloat with your dress, have you tried a pair of spanks or some other form of waist cincher? Since you are still early on in the pregnancy, it shouldn't hurt the baby but it will help hold in the bloat and help the dress fit better. I would suggest trying one on and wearing it around for a while beforehand to make sure it wouldn't be terribly uncomfortable for the extended time period. If you are worried about whether or not it would hurt the baby, just ring up your midwife. Good luck!! *hugs*

I cant drive! so i cant use the designated driver excuse! hehehe Its ok i think i'll just tell my friends cause they'll know soon enough as it is damn bloating i look about 5 months!! Hoping it'll go down soon as ive tried drinking nothing but loads and loads of water and also tried eating more fiber but looks like i'll have to play the waiting game and maybe get a shawl to wrap around and hide my tummy!

i think your best bet is to just tell them that you cant drink. if there your friends why would you want to hide it from them. they probly already know anyways

dont feel pressured into doing anything you dont feel comfortable with. Tell them in your own time, not because you feel you have to.
If they are your true friends they will understand and be supportive.

And im sure your dress is lovely. Why dont you post a pic?

hehe its tomorrow night and im really looking forward to it!! i probablly will post a pic of me in my dress im so excited

i spent all day pampering myself with face masks and doing my nails and im ready to rock! haha I'm going to tell my friends and just hope they'll be as excited as i am!

good luck and have bunches of fun while you can. its so fun just dont let all the prepairing get to you its alot but its good that you get to go and have some fun. good luck telling your friends i hope there suppotive
