Maybe Pregnant?

I don't really know where else to put this... My boyfriend and I are kind of freaking out right now because there's a pretty good chance I might get pregnant in the next couple of days... I'm approaching ovulation, so I'm at the peak fertility. I didn't find this out until I got home from his house today, when we ended up having sex without a condom (I'm not on the pill) and there's a pretty good chance that some pre-ejaculate stayed in my vagina...

I just don't know what to do because I'm freaking out and if I am, I have no idea how I'm going to tell my mom and dad, let alone the rest of my family... My bf knows my worries and says we're never having sex without a condom again...

So I guess my question is...

What do I do if it turns out I am pregnant???
How soon can I take a pregnancy test?
When will I start showing signs of being pregnant?

Hi Honey.

First off, do not panic. The chances of you getting pregnant right now are pretty slim under the best circumstances so until you know for sure, try not to worry needlessly.

I would say to wait 14 days and test. By then you should have proper results.

You can take a test roughly 2 weeks after the intercourse took place!
I wouldnt worry to much, if he didnt actually "cum" and it was just "pre-cum" then your chances are significantly lowered, however, that does not mean it isnt a definate possibility!
Best advice is, do not worry about it, dont even contemplate how you plan on telling your parents etc. Worry about this IF you find out you ARE pregnant, if your not pregnant you will have found yourself stressing and worrying for no reason at all.

If i understand your post correctly, you had sex today unprotected with your bf? If this is correct have you thought of the morning-after pill?
That is not a form of contraception, and shouldnt be thought of or used as such, however, it might be the right decision for you.

You seem quite scared at the possibility of pregnancy, can i suggest you go to your GP and get put on the pill? if your using the pill and your bf is using condoms, your not likely to have anymore scares like this!

ok, so I heard that even if you get a neg you can open the test up and look at the absorbant pad on the inside and if there is a line you still could be pregnant. Dont know how true this is but i did open it after it read neg and there was a pink line.....so what do you guys think or am i wacky????

I've never heard of that... I'd test again in a couple of days if I were you...

if you only had sex a couple of days ago there is no way a pregnancy test could show positive yet, the egg does not implant for around a week after it is fertilized.

im really confused by this thread.
You've already tested? from what i understood u had sex that day and then tested the same day? there is noway at all you can get a positive in that short time frame. Your approaching ovulation so i would guess you have over 2 weeks untill your period is due? this is when you would test.

Honestly, im not even sure why you are worrying so much, ur chances are slim.

The morning after pill is the pill that you can take up to 72 hours after intercourse.
